Admission

Applications in prescribed form are invited from intending candidates to undergo four (4) year (8 Semesters) Degree courses B.sc (Hons) in Agriculture and B.sc (Hons) in Horticulture in Daffodil College of Agriculture & Technology and Daffodil College of Horticulture at the wonderful and evergreen campus at Vidyanagar, Khetri, 30 km away from Dispur, the capital of Assam with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The College has all modern facilities and amenities with excellent learning environment. The College is well equipped with Laboratories with latest equipments and a library with all relevant books of latest edition and journals besides periodicals.

Admission Procedure

  1. The candidates who fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply Online in the prescribed Application Form available in the website on or before the last date.
  2. Candidates may also submit hard copy of the filled in Application directly in the Office of DMET, Daffodil Nursery Campus, Bherkuchi, Dhopguri, Khetri, PIN – 782403, Kamrup (Metro), Assam on or before the last date
  3. Applicants must deposit the Application Fee in the Bank as indicated below and enclose copy of the receipt document along with Application Fee.
  4. Candidates will be selected by the Admission Committee of the Daffodil College of Horticulture purely on merit basis.
  5. The counselling/interview will be conducted for admission maintaining all Govt. issued Covid-19 Guidelines.
  6. Eligibility concessions are as per rules and regulations of the College/ DMET

Documents Required at the time of Counselling/Admission

The applicants shall have to produce the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies to be submitted at the time of admission:

  1. Copy of HSSLC (10+2) Admit Card
  2. Proof of Age/Date of Birth
  3. Certificate and Mark sheet of 10th & 12th Examination
  4. Migration/Transfer Certificate
  5. Conduct and character Certificate from head of the institute from where the qualifying exam was passed.
  6. Medical fitness certificate to be signed by a registered medical practitioner holding a degree not lower than MBBS or equivalent.
  7. Aadhar Card/PAN card.
  8. Passport size photos of the candidate (5 copies)
  9. Domicile certificate wherever applicable
  10. Caste certificate for Reserved category candidates
  11. Receipt/Document of deposit of Application Fee
  12. Receipt/Document of deposit of Admission Fees

Important Notes
  • Applicants should read all the rules and regulations of the College carefully
  • Once a seat is allotted to an applicant, he/she will be liable to pay full course fee.
  • Applicant should carefully go through the fee structure and payment schedule and Bank details.
  • The Institutional Management Committee (IMC), DMET prepares the course structure, curriculum, syllabus and examination schedule under the guidance of ASTU and ICAR (Fifth Deans Committee Report).
  • All disputes are subject to Guwahati jurisdiction only, irrespective of the place of residence of the applicant.
  • The College authority reserves the right to accept or reject any candidates without showing any reasons thereof.

Connectivity

The College and the hostels are well connected by road with Khetri town, Jagiroad and capital city, Guwahati. Plenty of public & private buses and pickup vans are available for reaching the College at Vidyanagr, Khetri. The Khetri Rly Station is only 2 km away.

Affiliation and Recognition

Daffodil College of Agriculture & Technology and Daffodil College of Horticulture are affiliated to Assam Science and Technical University, Guwahati. It is also approved and recognized by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Assam. The College is under the management of Daffodil Multipurpose Educational Trust (DMET).

Eligibility

Students who have passed HS/10+2 (Science) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with PCB will be eligible to apply for admission. The minimum marks for eligibility is 45% in aggregate for reserve categories.

Fees and Deposit

Selected candidates must deposit the Admission and course fee for 1st Semester (Rs. 56700/) in the Bank as specified payable in favour of Daffodil college of Horticulture within the specified date and time and will have to produce Receipt/Document of depositing the amount, failing which the seat will be filled up from waiting list immediately. No fee excepting the refundable amounts will be refunded if any student leaves the college.
